On Friday, Feb. 21, former Fairfield High School standout Nate Smithburg’s current college team, the Oklahoma Sooners, won 3-2 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Minnesota Golden Gophers.

The game took place at Dell Diamond. This was their first matchup against the Golden Gophers this season.

The Sooners’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 22 at 4 p.m. at Dell Diamond against Oregon State Beavers.
