Which political committee based in Lee County spent the most during Q2?

Reichman for Senate spent the most out of in Lee County political committees during the second quarter of 2024, according to the Iowa.gov.

It spent $3,504 on two vendors during the time period.

The largest expense was to Jeffrey Reichman, which is based in ZIP Code 52639.

The second largest political spend from a committee operating in a city within Lee County during the second quarter of 2024 came from Weber for Sheriff. It spent $2,727 during the time period on four different vendors.

What's known as "dark money," which comes from political non-profits and shell corporations, has greatly increased expenditures and donations in recent elections to record-breaking highs.
