The Dankwardt Park Swimming Pool will not open on Memorial Day as planned. Due to unforeseen issues with the pool liner upon filling the pool with water, warranty repairs are necessary on the liner prior to beginning operations. The company responsible for repairs is planning to be on-site the week of May 30th. An update to the opening date will be posted when a timeframe for completion of the repair is determined. Parks staff is tentatively planning for a pool opening by June 10th, subject to completion of repairs and time for pool operations to begin.
Due to this scheduling update, session 1 of swimming lessons will be cancelled. Those registered will be notified to change session dates or refunds will be offered.
