JCHC Schedules Flu Vaccine Clinics

Vaccccccine

Jefferson County Health Center issued the following announcement on October 04.

Starting Tuesday, October 5, JCHC Clinics will be hosting ongoing flu vaccine clinics every Tuesday and Thursday. The clinics will be held from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. and appointments are required. Call 641-472-4156 to schedule your appointment.

The CDC recommends the flu vaccine for everyone 6 months and older with rare exceptions. It’s important to receive your vaccine every year, as it’s updated annually to protect against the most common viruses for that specific year.

Influenza can potentially lead to serious illness and hospitalization, especially in older populations and young children. Getting vaccinated can protect you from these dangers. Plus, being vaccinated can mean fewer days away from school or work, less doctor visits, and a healthier fall and winter for you and your family.

Contact JCHC Clinics to schedule your flu vaccination at 641-472-4156 and encourage your friends and family to get vaccinated. Together we can fight the flu and keep our community healthy and safe.
