City of Keokuk recently issued the following announcement.
Anyone wishing to run for Keokuk City Council or Mayor can pick up and return nomination papers at current city offices, 601 Main St., Floor 3 until September 1st.
Starting September 2nd, pick up and return must be made at 501 Main St. Nomination papers must have at least 25 qualified signatures and must be returned by 5:00 PM on Thursday, September 16th.
The following seats are on the ballot: Wards 1, 3, 5, 7 and at large 1. Also, the Mayor's position is also on the ballot.
