Jefferson County Health Center issued the following announcement on July 27.
Jefferson County Health Center (JCHC) will open the doors to JCHC Richland Clinic next Monday, August 2, and provide increased healthcare access to residents of Richland and the surrounding communities. Tina Main, ARNP, has been looking forward to opening day.
“Being out in Richland represents a great opportunity for us,” said Main. “It’s a privilege to work in the new clinic and the team and I are ready for the challenge. We’re eager to get out there, treat patients closer to where they live, and be a part of the community.”
With Main as the primary care provider, the clinic will be supported by several on-site staff, including a medical assistant and registration representative. Some services, such as laboratory blood work, will be couriered daily from JCHC Richland Clinic to Jefferson County Health Center’s lab department. This secure courier system allows patients to have more of their care administered in Richland, with fewer trips to other healthcare facilities needed.
JCHC Richland Clinic is also partnering with NuCara Pharmacy in Fairfield for retail prescription delivery. Patients can choose to have their prescriptions filled by NuCara and delivered to JCHC Richland Clinic for pick-up at the patient’s convenience. Pharmaceutical education for new prescriptions can be conducted virtually from the clinic via a video call. “We are proud to support bringing quality medical care to rural Iowa, and look forward to helping assist in this exciting project,” said Murphye Zane, Pharmacist in Charge at NuCara.
A clinic open house is scheduled for Tuesday, August 17 from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend, meet with clinic staff and JCHC leadership, and tour the new facility. “This is the first clinic outside of Fairfield for JCHC, and we want people to feel welcome,” said Ian Bee, Marketing & Community Relations Manager at JCHC. “We hope everyone can stop by our open house and learn a little more about their new neighbors on the Richland square.”
JCHC Richland Clinic is located at 107 W. Harrison St. in Richland, and will be open Monday through Friday. Full hours are listed below – the clinic will be closed over the noon hour each day.
- Monday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Tuesday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Wednesday: 8:00 a.m. – noon
- Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
