Jefferson County Health Center issued the following announcement.
Jefferson County Health Center (JCHC) has announced the opening of a new primary care clinic in Richland, Iowa. The JCHC Richland Clinic, scheduled to open on August 2, will offer general healthcare services including family health, men’s/women’s health, pediatric medicine, vaccinations, sport physicals, and treatment for injury/illness.
This represents the first clinic outside of Fairfield for JCHC. The organization decided to develop the new clinic after extensive research into potential towns and finding enthusiastic support from the Richland community. Steve Roberts, a resident and member of the Richland Community Club, says, “We were trying fill a void and enhance our community, and now [the new clinic] can meet the medical needs [of Richland]. JCHC is a natural partnership and a great fit for us.”
Tina C. Main, ARNP, will be the primary care provider at the clinic. Main has been a nurse practitioner since 2006, and with JCHC since 2019. She is well-versed in pediatric and adult health care, and is eager to serve the Richland community. Bryan Hunger, Chief Executive Officer of JCHC, sees the new clinic as an outreach opportunity. “We can’t wait to bring our vision of compassionate healthcare to Richland,” said Hunger. “We hope that residents are impressed with the level of care they receive at JCHC Richland Clinic, and consider JCHC a partner in their lifelong wellness.”
