Census Bureau: More women than men in Denmark in 2019

Of the 429 people living in Denmark in 2019, 52 percent (223) were women and 48 percent (206) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the SE Iowa News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 135-to-114. In the 65 and over age range, there were 38 females and 44 males.

Data for this story was compiled from the bureau's American Community Survey. Information from the survey helps to determine how federal and state funds are distributed.
