City of Burlington issued the following announcement on Dec. 18.
Christmas and New Year’s Day are holidays for Burlington Solid Waste Crews and Area Recyclers. Friday, December 25th trash and recycling will be collected on Thursday, December 24th and January 1st trash routes will be collected on Thursday, December 31st.
Please note, that Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve are not holidays for Solid Waste and trash pickup will remain the same for those days.
Be sure to set out trash before 7 a.m. because crews may come earlier or later in the day than you are used to. Other routes remain the same as usual.
