Fairfield Public Library issued the following announcement on Sept. 3.

Professor Charlie Stanier, an aerosol scientist in the Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering at the University of Iowa, will discuss how virus-laden particles and droplets behave in air. These tiny particles of respiratory fluid, which can contain the virus that causes COVID-19, are a key reason behind our calls for physical distancing, good ventilation, masks, and face shields.

We anticipate a lively discussion, as local residents will be joined online by a group of attendees in Mt. Vernon.  The event will be interactive.
