Greater Burlington Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement on Aug. 11.
Congrats to our August YP Spotlight, Jessica Gerling.
What community organizations/events do you volunteer for? Bridges Out of Poverty, Lend a Paw Pantry and help coordinate the Great River Bridge Race, Earth Day and City Day.
Why did you decide to join YP? I joined YP to meet new people and learn more about how to give back to our community.
What do you enjoy most about the Greater Burlington area? I was born and raised in Burlington and am now raising two kids here with my husband. Burlington has had something to offer for every stage of our lives and we now love getting to share that with our kids!
Share one thing about yourself that makes you stand out from other YP members. I enjoy woodworking as a hobby and make furniture and outdoor items under 'Waterwheel Builders'. I have always enjoyed creating but the more I learn and work on things, the more I love it. I've made close to 60 Adirondack chairs to date and finally made the first set for ourselves about a month ago!
