Lee County Economic Development Group President and CEO Dennis Fraise and Economic Development Project Director Dana Millard have both been appointed to be members of Gov. Kim Reynold’s Economic Recovery Advisory Board.
“We’re excited that the Lee County EDG team has been selected to be part of the workforce advisory group that will be making recommendations to Gov. Reynolds Economic Recovery Advisory Board,” Fraise said in a press release, according to The Hawk Eye. “Our organization has put a great deal of energy into working with our partners in Lee County to develop innovative workforce solutions.”
The Hawk Eye reports that the workforce advisory group will be tasked with coming up with ideas on how to expand and enhance Iowa’s workforce as the state recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic. The focus will be on the topics of attraction and retention, labor participation and workforce training. Among the specific issues that will be addressed are childcare and workplace safety.
