City of Fairfield issued the following announcement on July 10.
Thanks to everyone who is patiently waiting for the trail to reopen. The loop trail near Chautauqua Park and the access to the trail from the Park is currently closed for the STEP 2 sanitary sewer improvements. Please keep yourselves and the workers safe by staying out of the construction site. This section will remain close through the month of July. Meanwhile we hope you can take this opportunity to enjoy another portion of our wonderful trails system. https://tenor.com/6wyP.gif
