The City of Keokuk, Iowa (pop. 10, 780) is seeking a dynamic individual to become its next Public Works Director. Located at the confluence of the Des Moines and Mississippi Rivers, Keokuk is the gateway to Iowa. The PWD oversees seven departments: Airport, Cemetery, Municipal Bridge, Parks, Sanitation, Streets, and Wastewater Collections. In addition, the PWD manages flood control measures and flooding response/recovery. The PWD is responsible for project management for various infrastructure and facility projects. The successful candidate will have strong organizational and communications skills; will possess a combination of education and experience necessary to meet the requirements of the position, including strong mathematical skills, plan drafting/reading, project management, supervisory experience, and municipal employment.
