A new season of Hike-A-Park begins Thursday, December 2nd. This series of 2- to 4-mile hikes, led by Des Moines and Louisa County Conservation officers, is free and open to the public; no registration is required – just show up and join in! Hikes take place every other Thursday, each at a different Des Moines or Louisa County park. Hikes will be led by Marcus and Lana, the County Naturalists for Des Moines and Louisa Counties.
This week: Participants will meet at Starr’s Cave Nature Center (Des Moines County) at 3 PM.
Whether you are trying to stay fit or just enjoy exploring the outdoors, this series is for you. Participants may leave at any time. Please dress for the weather.
